Refers to a superstition of the C̸egihas. When they go to make a friendly visit, a member of the party pretends to have received a supernatural communication from an animal, saying, Cáⁿ ṭañga wiⁿ aⁿc̸áⁿc̸a'éc̸ĕ ádaⁿ cáñge wíⁿ áⁿí tá amá, A big wolf met me suddenly and talked with me, therefore they (the people to be visited) will give me a horse. This is told to his friends. Or he may say that he met some other animals, as a deer, elk, or buffalo.
