A tall grass that grows near water, and having joints. It is hard and solid, and is nearly as tall as the cane. The large specimens are thicker than the peska-nuka, or a pencil. Boys use them for arrows, cutting each one off at a joint. F. called the siduhi "bottom-grass". The stalks are fully five feet high. (Wdj.)
